Realistic jean cloth texture in four easy steps.

- First create a new document by pressing Ctrl+N. I set the dimensions 200 by 150 pixels, and the contents transparent for this tutorial, but feel free to make the document as big as you need.

- Set the foreground color to dark blue, and the background color to white. You can use the swatches palette (Window > Show Swatches) for quick color picking. Then press Shift+F5, and click OK to fill the workspace with the foreground color.
| |

- Apply the Halftone Pattern filter (Filter > Sketch > Halftone Pattern) with the following settings:
Size: 1
Contrast: 5
Pattern Type: Dot
For high resolution textures increase the size and contrast fields.
| |

- Apply the Stylize > Diffuse filter with Mode set to Darken Only, and there you go!
Very easy, isn't it? Try other colors too. For high resolution textures you may need to apply the Diffuse filter more than once (just press Ctrl+F).
